As sulfur is submitted to combustion in molten condition, most plants already receive it in liquid form. In some cases where solid sulfur is delivered, Outotec provides all the facilities for Sulfur melting and filtration which condition the sulfur for combustion.
We design and supply loading and unloading stations for solid and liquid sulfur as well as sulfur filtration and storage units.
For the sulfur combustion we apply spinning-cup atomisers instead of nozzle guns. Being the result of over 60 years experience with rotary cup burners, the LURO-burner is the best choice because of its superior atomisation and operability.
