The final step in the Outotec nickel process takes place in the autoclaves. Hydrogen reduces nickel to nickel powder. Sulfuric acid formed in the reaction is neutralized. The reduction is carried out in autoclaves.
The high quality nickel powder from the process can be packed in drums or pressed to nickel briquettes and delivered to customers.
